In this page, we publish weak lensing simulation data for HSC and explain details of the data.

Convergence(shear) map, convergence power spectrum, two point correlation function(2pcf) of cosmic shear and halo catalogue are now released.

Please read here about the details of our simulations (e.g. cosmological parameter).

**We have released two results. One is the result used in our paper. The other is the result which change the position of lens plane. It is to be sure that the result of changing the position of lens plane gives a more correct result than the result used in our paper, although we have not explain the details. Therefore, we recommend the use of the result of changing the position of lens plane. However, qualitative result is not changed in two cases.**The form of kappa(shear) map, convergence power spectrum, 2pcf of cosmic shear data file is 'xxx.z??.dat'. These are the data on each source redshift. Correspondence relation are following.

z13→zs(source redshift)=0.6, z17→zs=0.8, z20→zs=1.0, z27→zs=1.5, z32→zs=2.0, z40→zs=3.0.

### kappa(shear) map

The data is here.Sample code reading kappa(shear) map are available on fortran and C.

The data is divided by source redshift. This is a big data which has 5GB on each file. Each file include 100 realization data. If you extract rea?_v2.z??.tar.gz, you have a directory of rea?_v2.z?? and you can see run??.z??.dat files. These are fortran binary files, and the data format is kappa(2048,2048), shear1(2048,2048), shear2(2048,2048), rotation(2048,2048).

Now, number of light ray is 2048^2. Therefore, each data is array of 2048*2048.

We have compiled six source redshift data every 100 realizations.

### convergence power spectrum

The data is here.If you extract power_v2.tar.gz, you have a directory of power_v2.z??. We have compiled convergence power spectrum every redshift. In a power_v2.z?? directory, you will see files such as power???.z??.dat which is convergence power spectrum on each realization. Column 1 is multipole l and column 2 is P_kappa.

### 2pcf of cosmic shear

The data is here.If you extract tpcf_v2.tar.gz, you have a directory of tpcf_v2.z??. We have compiled 2pcf of cosmic shear every redshift. In a tpcf_v2.z?? directory, you will see files such as tpcf???.z??.dat which is 2pcf of cosmic shear on each realization. The contents of tpcf???.z??.dat is as follows.

column 1: separation angle theta[arcmin]

column 2: 2pcf of convergence field

column 3: 2pcf of tangential shear

column 4: 2pcf of cross-component shear

column 5: 2pcf for plus mode

column 6: number of pair of galaxies

### halo catalogue

This is a halo catalogue within light-cone of ray-tracing simulations. Halos are identified by using a friends-of-friends (FOF) method. We publish ASCII data and binary data which are of course same data.- ASCII data

If you extract halodata_v2.tar.gz, you have a halodata_v2.z?? directory. In a halodata_v2.z?? directory, you will see halodata???.dat files which are the halo catalogue on each realization.

If you extract halodata_b_v2.tar.gz, you have a halodata_b_v2.z?? directory. In a halodata_b_v2.z?? directory, you will see run???.halo files which are the fortran binary.

column 1: lens plane number where halo exists

column 2: halo id

column 3: halo mass(Msun/h)

column 4: redshift of halo

column 5: x coordinate of halo

column 6: y coordinate of halo

column 7: z coordinate of halo

Note that we have choose [2048,2048] grid for x,y coordinate. z coordinate is comoving Mpc/h.
